Who We Are

True North Managed is a local property management company serving landlords across Orlando and Tampa. We handle tenant screening, rent collection, maintenance, accounting, and the parts of owning a rental that keep you up at night.

We’re not a franchise. We’re not a call center in another state. We’re a small team based in Central Florida that manages properties the way we’d want our own properties managed—with straight talk, fast responses, and zero surprises on your owner statement.

Meet Daniel

Daniel Hsieh started in real estate over 20 years ago. The reason was personal: a bad experience selling his family’s home showed him exactly how much damage the wrong agent can do. He decided to fix that.

In his first year, Daniel won Rookie of the Year out of an office with more than 600 agents. That wasn’t luck. It came from treating every client like family and making their deal his problem until it closed. A USF grad with a finance and investing background, he built The True North Group into a respected Orlando real estate practice covering Windermere, Winter Garden, Celebration, Winter Park, Dr. Phillips, Clermont, and greater Orlando.

TNM exists because those landlords deserve better. Daniel brought the same client-first approach from real estate sales into property management, and built a team around it.

Property management came next because he kept seeing the same thing: landlords—especially accidental ones and out-of-state owners—getting burned by bad management or trying to do it themselves and learning expensive lessons. Missed deadlines on security deposits and tenants who should never have been approved. Maintenance problems that turned into $4,000 emergencies because nobody caught them at $400.

The True North Group at eXp Realty

True North Managed is one side of what Daniel built. The other is The True North Group at eXp Realty—his real estate brokerage team covering Orlando, Windermere, Winter Garden, Celebration, Winter Park, Dr. Phillips, and Clermont.

The two brands serve different needs under the same philosophy. If you’re looking to buy or sell an investment property in Central Florida, the brokerage team handles that. If you already own a rental and need someone to manage it properly, that’s us.

Most of our property management clients started as real estate clients or were referred by someone who did. The relationship works because Daniel’s team understands both sides—what makes a property worth buying and what makes it worth keeping.

How We Work

We’re direct.

If your rent is too low, we’ll tell you. If the property needs $3,000 in work before it’s ready to list, we’ll tell you that too. We don’t sugarcoat numbers to win your business.

We’re local.

We know the Orlando and Tampa markets at a neighborhood level. What rents are doing in Lake Nona this month is different from Winter Garden, and we track both.

We communicate.

Monthly owner statements, direct deposits, and a team that picks up the phone. If something happens with your property, you hear from us—not from your tenant.

We think like investors.

Daniel’s finance background means we look at your property the way you should: as an investment with real numbers. Cap rate, cash-on-cash return, expense ratio.

Why Property Management

Here’s the honest version: Daniel spent years as a real estate broker helping people buy and sell investment properties. And too often, he’d watch those same clients struggle after closing. The property was great. The location was right. But managing the thing? That’s where it fell apart.

One client inherited a rental in Winter Park and had no idea where to start. Another bought a duplex in Tampa, self-managed for a year, and lost $8,000 on a bad tenant because they didn’t know how to screen properly. A third was an out-of-state owner paying a management company that never returned calls and charged fees for things that should’ve been included.

TNM was built for those people—the landlord who doesn’t want a second job, the investor who needs someone local they can trust, the person Googling “property management Orlando” at midnight because they just inherited a house and have no idea what comes next.
